Day1:

We will drive (for those that arrive in Christchurch) down to Twizel, via Geraldine and Lake Tekapo, stopping along the way. After a "cruisey" day we get to the lodge in time for the sunset and to watch the stars come out. Drinks and dinner at the lodge. (Dinner included)

Day2/3:

Enjoy breakfasts with a view from our private large deck-mountains and lakes are the magnificent backdrop.

Day Trip to MtCook - we drive a long the turquoise waters of Lake Pukaki -here we will visit the Mt Cook visitors center to give you an idea of the amazing history, flora and fauna of the area, and then we will go for a walk up the stunning Hooker Valley. This is a magical day out in a special part of New Zealand! Back in time for a hot shower, drinks and then we go out for a meal. (Picnic lunch included)

Day Trip Twizel area: what we do to day depends on the weather, but one thing is guaranteed a great day out! Here's a list of possibilities: investigate the local shops, explore this stunning area (we will take you to some of our favourite secret Kiwispots and show you the turquoise waters of Lake Ohauand Lake Ruataniwha), enjoy a stunning walk and possibly a picnic (weather permitting), visit the local Salmon Farm where you can feed the fish, visit a winery and do a tasting, partake in a quirky farm tour , explore the Clay Cliffs.... at the end of the day we head off to the local Omarama Hot Tubs for a soak under the Southern stars! Dinner at the country pub and then home to our comfy beds.

Day4:

After another good breakfast and a short walk (time permitting we may squeeze something else in) we begin our drive back to Christchurch.

Additional information: Which day we do what depends on the weather:

It is possible to stay longer at the lodge if you would like to relax for a bit longer and take in all those breath taking views.

Bring a couple of bottles of wine, your togs and a towel (for the hot tub), comfy but warm clothes for walking, daypack, drink bottle, snacks, general casual warm clothes, toiletries...and a good book incase the weather is really bad!

This is the perfect winter getaway to one of the most scenic parts of the country. We will explore this wonderful area and all it has to offer -turquoise lakes and rivers, snow-capped mountains and visit local shops and mouth-watering restaurants!

Escape the winter blues and join us on a variety-filled trip. We will be based in lovely accommodation, and take trips to local attractions, restaurants, shops, walks, wineries etc! It's been a crazy, covid year, time to meet like-minded ladies, swap iso stories over a gin or two and have some fun!
