Day 1-4: Queenstown – there is no better place for a long weekend getaway this winter!
It's time to tick off some of those fantastic activities and adventures that you previously left to the tourists...We have a variety-filled, bucket-list program over the next few days...
Friday is arrival day! We will provide transfers from the airport to our accommodation. The next three days are full of fun, taking in all the highlights that Queenstown has to offer! Please try to fly back home as late as you can on the Tuesday, so you maximize your time in this amazing place. We stay in lovely boutique accommodation close to town.
Friday evening we will go out for a fabulous meal together and get to know each other.
Over the next few days highlights of the trip include:
Boutique Wine Tour: we explore three varying wine sub-regions to visit four of the area's finest vineyards in the Gibbston, Bannockburn and Cromwell basin and enjoy a sumptuous platter lunch at a renowned vineyard restaurant.
Kiwi Birdlife Park: Have you ever seen a Kiwi? No? then it's about time! The Kiwi Birdlife Park is home to over 20 native species of wildlife on breed for release programs or in rehab due to injury. Get to know our backyard fauna in person and support a worthy cause in doing so!
Onsen Hot Pools: time to get a little indulgent! Soak in an idyllic cedar-lined hot tub with panoramic views!
Shopping: of course there will be some free time for you to have some retail therapy in the buzzy town centre and "support local"
Scenic Cruise on the iconic TSS Earnslaw . No trip to Queenstown is complete without doing this classic trip on Lake Wakatipu.
Gondola ride: let's ride up Queenstown Hill to take a look over the stunning mountains and lake...and maybe even partake in a fun luge ride
Highly recommended: Scenic Flight of Milford Sound via Mt Aspiring, overflying at least five major glaciers. Fantastic aerial views of the Southern Alps, glaciers, waterfalls and the majestic Milford Sound. A must to see the snow-capped peaks, glaciers and fiords from the air! Departs 9.30am in winter, one hour, additional $399.
